Morgen

Listening to: Placebo - This Picture

Today is my last ~full~ day of freedom before college starts tomorrow. Well, tomorrow is induction, and I only have to go in 1pm - 4, and then lessons start for real on Tuesday. Surprisingly, I'm not as nervous as I thought I'd be. I think all the times I've been to the college lately has quelled my nerves a bit. What I am nervous for, though, is the bus journey there, though that's more for the Tuesday morning. Because I'm going in in the afternoon tomorrow, I'm ~guessing~ the bus won't be as full. To be honest, I'm only nervous about it because I'm on my own. I don't know many people at college, but Kathryn is going and there's the other two girls I met on the open day.

I'm going to take advantage of my free day and do nothing. Well, nothing that doesn't involve in bed, on my laptop and writing/reading/talking/etc. I have to walk the dog in an hour or so, but other than that I'm not moving unless absolutely necessary. :)

Beaucoup de violet

Listening to: Yellowcard - Rough Landing, Holly

Short post today, as I haven't much to say. Walked the dog, ordered a school bag online, dyed my hair, and I'm now co-authoring with Suzy, which is surprisingly fun. :)

Mum somehow managed to miss a patch of hair, right on my parting, so I've had to move it, so there is no blonde showing through my brown/purple. And for some reason, my hair looks really different (to me, at least) with just a small change. Ho hum...

Time consuming activities

Listening to: Lafee - Kuess Mich

Well. Finally. I have a laptop that works!! After the harddrive on my old one completely and utterly died, my mother has bought me a new one. Normally, we would have probably waited a bit longer to get a new one, but because I start college on Monday, and will therefore need one for homework/research etc. I got one straight away. It's so much better than my old one: widescreen, Norton, WORD 2007 (omg, so pretty), 100+GB more memory, better webcam. Unf, amazing.

Downside is, I lost every single file on my old laptop: pictures, music, my writing, msn convo's, etc, so right now I am trying to get my iTunes back. It is going to take me forever. Wish me luck :)

As far I as have gotten so far. -____-

I'm humanoid...

Listening to: Tokio Hotel - Humanoid [clip]

Today has been so fantastic. New THTV episode (featuring a (half) NAKED GEORG), the new Humanoid Clip was released, a Viva interview (which I haven't actually seen yet, because no English subbed versions are on youtube yet...), I got a new Laptop, mum also got me MICROSOFT WORD 2007 (though I can't use them until tomorrow), and I got my hair cut.

*so happy*

Sorry to those who...

Listening to: Placebo - Infra-Red (Live at Ciagale)

...don't like this sort of thing, but my friend linked me to this video, and I think it's extreeeemely hot.

Nice snog from Brian Molko and Stephen, at a Gay Rights gig (apparently...) ;)

Out of place

Watching/listening to: Placebo - Special Needs (Live on Soulmates never Die DVD)

They are playing Leeds Festival right now. I really, really wish I was there, but because I'm not, I'm watching the DVD instead, and pretending.

If you like Placebo and have never seen this, You have NO IDEA what you are missing. So fucking good.

Weil du ohne Liebe bist...

Listening to/Watching: Tokio Hotel - Automatisch (Acoustic)

The acoustic version is from the Unplugged Nokia gig last Thursday. It is so beautiful. Check it out:

LEEDS FEST

Listening to: Placebo - Come Undone

Yesterday was AMAZING. There's so much to say about it, that if I tried to write it all here it would take me hours on end, so I'll just put up some photos and captions. :)

Arriving:

Skint and Demoralised

Pulled Apart By Horses (who actually gave me a headache D=)

Then we went to a Youmeatsix signing.

Enter Shikari

The Surprise Act was a band who's name I don't know, but consisted of DAVE GROHL (Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stoneage, Nirvana), JOSH HOMME (Queens of the Stoneage), and John Paul Jones (LED ZEPPLIN).

The Courteeners

Youmeatsix

Go:Audio

Atreyu

It was during these guys that Goodman left me, to go and see The Prodigy. We were going to meet by the loo's at 9, but never did. She text me, but I didn't get the messages (saying she was stuck in the mosh...) and so I stood with her dad and his friends, worried sick where she was for an hour or so. I missed The Blackout :( I don't blame her; I blame her phone, but she does owe me a Blackout gig, now ;)

During the day I bought myself a beaaautiful PLACEBO t-shirt, because I've wanted one for aaages, and even though I didn't see them (they play Sunday... :/) I still got it. :D

During the rest of the day I also saw Patrick Wolf, White Lies, The Prodigy (from very far away), Arctic Monkeys, The Gossip, 65daysofstatic... they're all I remember.

So, apart from the hour where I was terrified for Jess (even though she was perfectly okay, just a bit squashed), it was a fucking amaaaazing day. Bring on Next year!!! ...Although I could NOT camp. I'd buy three day tickets and do lots of travelling, instead :p

Nokia gig

Listening to: Tokio Hotel - Beichte

Without going into detail, the beginning of the Nokia gig didn't quite go as planned.
The boys however...

No words can explain just how good I think Tom looks. "Good" doesn't even cover it. Fucking hell.

The wait is finally over

Listening to: Tokio Hotel - Automatic

I GOT MY RESULTS.
I decided way back that I'd get them, but only open them when I got home. So I did that. It wasn't as bad of a wait as I thought it would be.

Went to Fishers for ten, then went to Morley High for German results, then had to go to Tesco's, and then mum had to go to the dentist. Only then could I go home and open them.

I'm dead pleased with my results.

6 B's - ICT X2, English Lit., English Lang., History, Maths
6 A's - French, Re, Science x2, Statistics, and GERMAN.

Fucking get in. All that hard work for 8 months actually paid off. I'm proud of myself. As you can see:

Mum got me straighteners as an early prize, now I get to keep them properly. Goodman did awesomely, got all B's and above, so we're going to LEEDS FEST TOMORROW, and mum's cracking open some champagne tonight. Celebration. Whoooo :))

Going to email my German tutor, and thank her for all the help she gave me now. :D

Lots of posts today

Listening to: Elliot Minor - Electric High

I love the video for this song. Lots of nakedness and the song is pretty amazing, too.

Spain

Listening to: Cinema Bizarre - Toyz

After another long lack of absense (during which I've been lazy and in Spain), I am back. Hopefully will blog more often, if I can sort my act out. :p

Spain was a lot better than I thought it would be; because Ben and David came I thought it would be hellish. It was boring in places, and way too hot, and I got burnt in the shade on the first full day -__-

That was 3 days after, so it had calmed a little by then. It was painful; still peeling now.

The views from the patio outside the house:

Then we were made to have some pictures on the second to last day. They're actually pretty nice.

That one is my favourite.

In other news, I adore the new TH song "Automatisch"/"Automatic", I get my GCSE results TOMORROW (*panic mode*) and I have my college enrollment interview on Tuesday.

Wish me luck!

Listening to: The Audition - The Way you Move

It's 5:44am as I type, and I don't plan on sleeping. I wasn't tired until about a half hour ago, and no there's no point in going to bed because I'll have to get up early as I'm getting new GHDs delivered at some point. My old ones broke on Sunday :( So gutted.

But I'm glad I stayed awake. I saw a tweet from www.forthesound.com , which is a music reviewing/interviewing kinda site, and they wanted album reviewers. Guess who is one now?! ME. Got my first album "assignment" already, after about an hour, of the new Thrice album - (Beggars), which doesn't even come out until next week. They sent me it, but it's in the wrong format for itunes. I'm not messing about with it now, though, I'll wait a few hours and try again when my brain is actually functioning properly. :)

I'm probably gonna get up in an hour or so; get some food because I'm starving, seriously, and then surprise mum by walking the dog for her. And do all of this whilst avoiding David when he gets up for work at ~around~ ten past 7, until leaving at half past. Bumping into him, having had no sleep, would not amuse me. ¬_¬

Also, I feel a huge AFI phase coming on. Thanks, Nina. And Susi, for reccing more songs... gah. I have enough obsessions as it is! XD

Synthetics

Listening to: Tokio Hotel - Ich Bin Nich' Ich [Live]

Already, today seems pointless. One thing happened though.

<<< This.

As stunning and flawless as his face is, (thanks, Photoshop, but you know you got rid of his beauty mark too, *sniffle*), his hair... why, Bill, WHY?! I still don't like it.

Listening to: Placebo - Running up that Hill

Today my computer decided to die on me, for a while. It wouldn't switch on. I freaked out. It eventually switched on by pressing some buttons, so I anti-virused it, and defragged it, whilst watching my Placebo DVD again. Then watched Romeo and Juliet, whichh I have to say is one of my favourite ever films, and plays. Yes, I am a Shakespeare loving nerd. 8-)

Since then I've been listening to Placebo for about 4 hours. They are my official favourite band now, after Tokio Hotel, but that's just a given.

As of now, I'm sat in bed, eating Waitrose vegetable crips, drinking milk, and going to go find something to read.

Watching - Placebo: Soulmates Never Die live in Paris DVD; Pure Morning

I actually have a valid reason for not blogging recently. I've been in Bristol, or rather Portishead, which is about fifteen minutes away from Bristol, but not many people know where that is. We went on Friday morning, and got back this afternoon, and I have to say, the car journeys there and back were atrocious. 4-5 hours, stuck in a car with 4 others, squashed, warm, uncomfy, next to people I didn't want to be next to (Ben...) Ugh, it s.u.c.k.e.d. Don't want to repeat that.

We didn't do anything on the Friday, just talked and recooperated. Then on the Saturday it rained, and we went to see Hatty Potter. It was actually pretty lame, although Draco and Ron looked pretty damn HOT. So that was okay. And David gave me jellybeans. :3

Sunday we went to Bristol for some silly Bristol harbourside festival. It was seriously lame. Didn't want to go at all, but we did. Weren't there too long, though, because it was really warm and really busy, and eventually the adults realised it was a bit crap too. So we went back to the house and had PIMM's. :) Sunday evening was a Sunday Roast, with veggie things for me instead. Hayley spent ages making sure no meat got on my plate, but as she was dishing up the gravy (which had bits of meat in it), she put it on my plate. : She didn't realise until it was too late, and I hadn't been paying any attention. She was like "Omg, I'm so sorry!" but couldn't do anything about it. Neither could I. So i was like "um, its okay, i'll pick it off..." not wanting to be a complete Jackass after she had just spent 2 hous slaving over our tea. So I had to be major careful when eating to pick all the little bits off, and trying to avoid the gravy. -___- Also whilst looking like I was okay, when I actually felt pretty sick. :/

Then me and Emily started pissing about in the room upstairs before we went to sleep, took silly pictures, when Philip came upstairs and told us to shut it. For some reason I took it really personally and got right upset, which pissed me off. I need to fucking grow some balls (in the non-literal sense...) because I let stuff get to me for no reason. I can't carry on getting pissed at stupid stuff like that for the rest of my life...

Whatever. When we got home my Placebo DVD (which I ordered on Thursday night) arrived, as did a shit load of scary college info, in the post. They gave me my enrollment interview on the day I asked for it not to be on, because on that day I'm (99%) going to be at LEEDS FEST :D so we had to change that.

Since then I've watched my DVD twice, fetched my doggie from the kennels, (who is feeling slightly ill, poor thing :[ ) and been on the computer. I'm so tired and achey from the car trip, so I doubt it'll be a late night tonight, and then tomorrow I'm doing absolutely nothing again. Fun, right? >:(
