Morgen

Listening to: Placebo - This Picture

Today is my last ~full~ day of freedom before college starts tomorrow. Well, tomorrow is induction, and I only have to go in 1pm - 4, and then lessons start for real on Tuesday. Surprisingly, I'm not as nervous as I thought I'd be. I think all the times I've been to the college lately has quelled my nerves a bit. What I am nervous for, though, is the bus journey there, though that's more for the Tuesday morning. Because I'm going in in the afternoon tomorrow, I'm ~guessing~ the bus won't be as full. To be honest, I'm only nervous about it because I'm on my own. I don't know many people at college, but Kathryn is going and there's the other two girls I met on the open day.

I'm going to take advantage of my free day and do nothing. Well, nothing that doesn't involve in bed, on my laptop and writing/reading/talking/etc. I have to walk the dog in an hour or so, but other than that I'm not moving unless absolutely necessary. :)

Sorry to those who...

Listening to: Placebo - Infra-Red (Live at Ciagale)

...don't like this sort of thing, but my friend linked me to this video, and I think it's extreeeemely hot.

Nice snog from Brian Molko and Stephen, at a Gay Rights gig (apparently...) ;)

Out of place

Watching/listening to: Placebo - Special Needs (Live on Soulmates never Die DVD)

They are playing Leeds Festival right now. I really, really wish I was there, but because I'm not, I'm watching the DVD instead, and pretending.

If you like Placebo and have never seen this, You have NO IDEA what you are missing. So fucking good.

LEEDS FEST

Listening to: Placebo - Come Undone

Yesterday was AMAZING. There's so much to say about it, that if I tried to write it all here it would take me hours on end, so I'll just put up some photos and captions. :)

Arriving:

Skint and Demoralised

Pulled Apart By Horses (who actually gave me a headache D=)

Then we went to a Youmeatsix signing.

Enter Shikari

The Surprise Act was a band who's name I don't know, but consisted of DAVE GROHL (Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stoneage, Nirvana), JOSH HOMME (Queens of the Stoneage), and John Paul Jones (LED ZEPPLIN).

The Courteeners

Youmeatsix

Atreyu

It was during these guys that Goodman left me, to go and see The Prodigy. We were going to meet by the loo's at 9, but never did. She text me, but I didn't get the messages (saying she was stuck in the mosh...) and so I stood with her dad and his friends, worried sick where she was for an hour or so. I missed The Blackout :( I don't blame her; I blame her phone, but she does owe me a Blackout gig, now ;)

During the day I bought myself a beaaautiful PLACEBO t-shirt, because I've wanted one for aaages, and even though I didn't see them (they play Sunday... :/) I still got it. :D

During the rest of the day I also saw Patrick Wolf, White Lies, The Prodigy (from very far away), Arctic Monkeys, The Gossip, 65daysofstatic... they're all I remember.

So, apart from the hour where I was terrified for Jess (even though she was perfectly okay, just a bit squashed), it was a fucking amaaaazing day. Bring on Next year!!! ...Although I could NOT camp. I'd buy three day tickets and do lots of travelling, instead :p

Listening to: Placebo - Running up that Hill

Today my computer decided to die on me, for a while. It wouldn't switch on. I freaked out. It eventually switched on by pressing some buttons, so I anti-virused it, and defragged it, whilst watching my Placebo DVD again. Then watched Romeo and Juliet, whichh I have to say is one of my favourite ever films, and plays. Yes, I am a Shakespeare loving nerd. 8-)

Since then I've been listening to Placebo for about 4 hours. They are my official favourite band now, after Tokio Hotel, but that's just a given.

As of now, I'm sat in bed, eating Waitrose vegetable crips, drinking milk, and going to go find something to read.

Watching - Placebo: Soulmates Never Die live in Paris DVD; Pure Morning

I actually have a valid reason for not blogging recently. I've been in Bristol, or rather Portishead, which is about fifteen minutes away from Bristol, but not many people know where that is. We went on Friday morning, and got back this afternoon, and I have to say, the car journeys there and back were atrocious. 4-5 hours, stuck in a car with 4 others, squashed, warm, uncomfy, next to people I didn't want to be next to (Ben...) Ugh, it s.u.c.k.e.d. Don't want to repeat that.

We didn't do anything on the Friday, just talked and recooperated. Then on the Saturday it rained, and we went to see Hatty Potter. It was actually pretty lame, although Draco and Ron looked pretty damn HOT. So that was okay. And David gave me jellybeans. :3

Sunday we went to Bristol for some silly Bristol harbourside festival. It was seriously lame. Didn't want to go at all, but we did. Weren't there too long, though, because it was really warm and really busy, and eventually the adults realised it was a bit crap too. So we went back to the house and had PIMM's. :) Sunday evening was a Sunday Roast, with veggie things for me instead. Hayley spent ages making sure no meat got on my plate, but as she was dishing up the gravy (which had bits of meat in it), she put it on my plate. : She didn't realise until it was too late, and I hadn't been paying any attention. She was like "Omg, I'm so sorry!" but couldn't do anything about it. Neither could I. So i was like "um, its okay, i'll pick it off..." not wanting to be a complete Jackass after she had just spent 2 hous slaving over our tea. So I had to be major careful when eating to pick all the little bits off, and trying to avoid the gravy. -___- Also whilst looking like I was okay, when I actually felt pretty sick. :/

Then me and Emily started pissing about in the room upstairs before we went to sleep, took silly pictures, when Philip came upstairs and told us to shut it. For some reason I took it really personally and got right upset, which pissed me off. I need to fucking grow some balls (in the non-literal sense...) because I let stuff get to me for no reason. I can't carry on getting pissed at stupid stuff like that for the rest of my life...

Whatever. When we got home my Placebo DVD (which I ordered on Thursday night) arrived, as did a shit load of scary college info, in the post. They gave me my enrollment interview on the day I asked for it not to be on, because on that day I'm (99%) going to be at LEEDS FEST :D so we had to change that.

Since then I've watched my DVD twice, fetched my doggie from the kennels, (who is feeling slightly ill, poor thing :[ ) and been on the computer. I'm so tired and achey from the car trip, so I doubt it'll be a late night tonight, and then tomorrow I'm doing absolutely nothing again. Fun, right? >:(

The worst is over

Listening to: Placebo - Black-Eyed
MY GERMAN ORAL IS FINISHED. I CAN FORGET ALL MY STUPID QUESTIONS.
I got decent ones asked; Personal Relationships and Education like I wanted. But then a couple of the Environments which weren't so hot with me. I managed. Fucked up a few word order rules out of nervousness, and reworded half my answers but its over.
I must have been shaking so bad because I now ache positively everywhere, and am so relieved I could actually cry.
I have to say, the teacher was WELL impressed with me. To quote: "It's all downhill now", because apparently her class are, well, sheisse. ;)
Now only 50 French ones to learn, but they shouldn't be too bad. I can ad-lib those if needs must.

No rest for the wicked

Listening to: Papa Roach - Getting away with Murder

I am still at school, and its lame. Everyone else is on their holidays and i'm not. And even when we are on our holidays i'm still going into school for revision. My school sucks. :)

On a brighter note, i actually learned something in science, i got a B on my maths mock and I think i improved all of my history coursework pieces.

I am now raving to some Papa Roach, whose album artwork for their album "Getting away with Murder" is rather disturbing:
Photobucket
I can't wait for their next album "Metamorphosis" :D

Also, I can't see Placebo when they play the Sheffield 02 Academy in May, because of exams and lack of money. It is soooo depressing. I want to see them sooooo bad!!

Time to go and do something productive
Ciao

Time for a new phase

Listening to: Placebo - English summer rain
I think I have a new favourite band (not including Tokio Hotel, blates). Observe:
Photobucket
Photobucket
Brian Molko is actually gorgeous, no? <3
I have the other part of the English exam tomorrow... I'll probably fail that too, even though I know the poems better than the stories. Maybe if I say i'm not confident it'll jinx it so I do well... unlike the other time. I also have a little extra time on maths, so before I go to bed I need to revise when to use the Sin rule, and when to use the Cosine rule, then I can maybe answer a couple more questions ,)
Oh, I have to bus it to school in the morning. And then home, too. Because my mum has finished work for two weeks now, and my sister finishes tomorrow. I, however, have another week. I am not impressed.
Nicht gut.
